According to the report, five tourism projects were approved statewide in 2025 totaling $118 million in new investment and nearly 300 jobs.
Among those projects is Malibu Jack’s Indoor Theme Park in Owensboro, placing the city among several Kentucky communities benefiting from new tourism development.

Malibu Jack’s will transform part of the former Towne Square Mall into a 109,000-square-foot indoor entertainment destination designed to attract families and visitors from across Kentucky and surrounding states.
